Drone footage reveals the total devastation of Gaza City, where the ceasefire has entered its second day amid vast ruins. According to the United Nations, nearly eighty-three percent of the city has been destroyed, leaving residents to return to nothing but rubble and vanished homes. An estimated sixty-one million tons of debris now blanket the area, while Gaza’s farmlands lie decimated, with vegetation almost entirely wiped out. The World Bank estimates that the cost of rebuilding will exceed fifty billion dollars.
