After securing bail by Islamabad High Court, Pak’s former Prime Minister and PTI chief Imran Khan addressed the nation on May 13. In his first address after his ‘illegal arrest’ earlier this week, Khan recalled the atrocities committed by Pakistan in 1971 in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). Imran slammed Pakistan Army’s 1971 ‘Operation Searchlight’, which unleashed death squads across East Pakistan to crush province's challenge to West Pakistan's supremacy. Imran Khan lambasted Pakistan’s establishment for covering up the ‘genocide’ by not allowing people to assess the damage. Imran Khan said he wants to remind people about East Pakistan. Cricketer-turned-politician recalled his U-19 cricket days and said he still remembers the hate people had towards East Pakistan
