The digitalisation of public services needs complementary synergies to identify the challenges, spot the risks and create opportunities.
The digital transformation of public services requires a profound change through the affirmation of a wide and heterogeneous range of skills at all levels. The European Confederation of Independent Trade Unions wishes to support this process, identifying the necessary methodology, tools and new skills for public sector personnel in Europe.
The aim of our #DiWork project, which was co-financed by the European Commission, was to provide workers and their representatives with a better understanding of how the personnel of public services can benefit from digitalisation, both in terms of work organization and service provision, but also to assess and address possible risks for working conditions and occupational health and safety of the workforce.
Trade unions can create an environment where workers do not fear the change and are willing to support it.
