The US has reportedly devastated Iran’s air force and is now targeting the Iranian navy. According to reports, the United States targeted an Iranian naval vessel near Sri Lanka. More than 85 people were reportedly killed in the attack. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on Thursday that the United States would “deeply regret” attacking an Iranian warship. He said that the attack on the Iranian ship IRIS Dena by a US submarine near Sri Lanka was a serious incident. According to the Sri Lanka Navy and the Sri Lanka Ministry of Defence, the strike was carried out using torpedoes launched from a submarine. Early Thursday morning, between 5:08 AM and 5:30 AM, distress messages were sent from the ship asking for help, reporting that a massive explosion had occurred underwater.
