I predict 2021 is the year some one like you is willing to relocate. Come on! let's face it, 2020 was a year many faced unexpected and expected realities that got many questioning their current living situation.
The economy has been wrecked by the pandemic, most people are working from home or not at all. The year 2020 has been alot for many people who are now looking for change. If you are one of those people who are questioning where to live. This video aims to educate you of which towns and city to relocate or live in should Namibia be your option.
Below is a list of average cost of living for Namibia. Please feel free to include a town I have missed and tell us why it should be considered a town to live in. I couldn't include most places in this video for the sake of time, so let me know if I should do a part two of this kind of video.
📍Cost of living in Namibia can be high or low depending of what you are looking for.
💰On average an Inexpensive meal for two at a take out (KFC) will cost in the area of 120.00N$ Namibian dollars.
💰In a mid to high end restuarant a three corse meal for the same amount of people will average between 500.00 to 800 Namibian dollar.
💰Domestic beverages cost arround 20.00N$ Namibian dollars depending on the unit of measurement.
💰A regular Cappuccino is priced at arround 25.00N$ Namibian dollars and soft drinks such as Coke/Pepsi at arround 13.00N$ Namibian dollars as well as water at arround 12.00N$ Namibian dollars per bottle.
💰Groceries in the supermarket will total a combined monthly cost of 1500N$ Namibian dollar for a family of four excluding toiletries.
💰Cigarette smoking is prohibited in all public places including resturants, bars, clubs and hotels. Having said that a packet of cigarettes will fetch anything arround 50 to 100 Namibian dollars depending where you buy them from and the brand.
💰Lets talk about transportation. A One-way Ticket via Local Taxi will cost 12.00 N$ to the nearest taxi rank, past the taxi rank you will pay something in the area of 24.00 N$ Namibian dollars. Taxishere are clearly marked with numbers on the back windscrean of the car as well as the address and contact details on the passenger side of the car.
💰Monthly Pass taxi pass for one person will coast no more than 500N$ Namibian dollar and the tarrif for a taxi waiting for 1hour Waiting will cost in the range of 55.00N$. please not that if you are travelling via shuttle, it will be alot more pricey.
💰A small family car will cost you the equivalent of 310,000.00N$ Namibian dollars while a second hand in the same range will be slightly cheaper.
💰To rent a small family car will cost arround 600N$ namibian dollars a day.
💰Monthly Utilities such as Electricity, Heating, Cooling, Water, Garbage for 85m2 Apartment will cost arround 2.000N$ Namibian dollars.
💰Heading over to telecommunications, Mobile tariffs for 1 minute of Prepaid Mobile with No Discounts or Plans (MTC or TN Mobiles) will range between 1.24N$ Namibian dollars and Internet for 60 Mbps or More on Unlimited Data (Cable or ADSL) will cost in the area of 900N$ Namibian dollars or more if its for personal, home use or business.
💰Monthly Sports And Leisure for 1 Adult 585.00N$ Namibian dollars, exclusive of pop in/ rent or scheduled and can range aything between 300N$ Namibian dollars per hour.
💰 At the cinema, avid movie lovers can fork out between 80.00N$ Namibian dollars for one seat.
💰Monthly Childcare and Preschool for a full day (Private) for 1 Child is arround 1,600 Namibian dollars and International Primary School. Yearly for one Child is arround 49 000N$ Namibian dollars.
💰 Rent Per Month in a one bedroom
Apartment in City Centre is arround 6,000N$ and outside the city centre is arround 4 600N$ Namibian dollars.
💰A three bedrooms can go for anything between 11,400 or higher in and arround the city centre
💰Buying an Apartment in the city is priced per Square Meter and can fetch between 1 46 000N$ or more.
💰On average a monthly Net Salary After 15% Tax 13 900 or more depending on your qualification and level of experience.
