Rhino Command List (roughly in order of usage)
Units (set Model Units to Inches, Distance Display to Feet & Inches)
Rectangle (draw large at 12-15" square, small at 3-5" square for reference)
Picture (use this to insert your diagrams, snapping to the rectangle corners)
Scale (w/scaling factor, or w/ref. point)
Move (w/Osnap, or w/ref. point, or using the Gumball, w/Vertical)
Plane
ExtrudeCrv (w/ direction constraint)
Trim
Split
PointsOn (F10 key; Esc to exit EditPts mode)
Copy (w/ref. point, w/Vertical)
Box
ViewCaptureToFile (using the scale multiplier, set output resolution to roughly 2400 pixels wide)
General Notes:
_You may need to keep your input diagrams resolution smaller in order for the Picture command to work. If you bring it in and it shows up blank, the resolution is too high; resize it smaller in Photoshop and try again. Anything up to ~4000 pixels should
work.
_Use Layers to separate systems and Lock/Unlock layers to avoid inadvertent editing
_Use Ghosted view for better visibility
_Turn on/off your Osnap (End/Near) as needed
_Turn on Ortho Mode to keep things orthogonal if necessary
