Turning on a single axis and turning a single profile is what you think of when you think of a turned piece - ROUND & BROWN. But the lathe is capable of MUCH MORE!
It does require a change in thinking.
While a lathe has only ONE axis, your piece of wood has an infinite number of AXES - an infinite number of ways to mount it between centers on your lathe - and turn it sequentially on each one if you choose. THAT is what this video is about - MULTIPLE AXES TURNING.
While this video only covers TWO AXES funadmental concepts of BETWEEN CENTERS MULTIPLE AXES TURNING, the concepts are applicable to other between centers multiple axes turning.
