Day 4 of our 11-day Atlantic Ocean crossing, covering over 1200 nautical miles. The vastness of the Atlantic is honestly hard to describe. Endless water in every direction, and the horizon just feels infinite. As the sun starts to set, we talk about the green flash, which we may or may not have actually seen.
The further we sail, the more insane the deep blue color of the water gets. It almost doesn’t look real at times. We also cross the Prime Meridian, the exact line that separates the eastern and western hemispheres. Basically where time zones officially start.
Finally, after days at sea, we reach Saint Helena, one of the most remote islands on earth. It's where Napoleon Bonaparte was exiled and spent the last years of his life. Now it's this super peaceful, tiny island in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing but ocean.
