Definition: Cha-cha-chá is a Cuban dance style and rhythm, created from the Cuban danzón-mambo.
Origins: Developed in the 1950s by Enrique Jorrín, blending traditional Cuban rhythms with a new danceable beat.
Characteristics: The name "cha-cha-chá" mimics the sound of dancers' feet shuffling on the dance floor.
The Chachachá is a style created in the Charanga Orchestras of the 1950s, Less syncopated than Son all the instruments have specific patterns for the cha-cha-chá.
Charanga Orchestras line-up: Violins, flute, piano, bass, güiro, timbales, congas and singers.
Cultural Impact: The cha-cha-chá became a global sensation, and songs like "El Bodeguero" contributed to its widespread popularity.
