Original idea by David Palazón and co-directed by Edgar Medina Fetecua (Colombia), Jimmy Azula de la Cruz (Perú), Edieuza Penha de Souza (Brasil), and produced by EICTV, this short documentary sets to investigate the humour in the city of San Antonio de los Baños.
San Antonio de los Baños is a municipality and city in the Artemisa Province of Cuba. Located 26 km from the city of Havana, is the most widely filmed city in Cuba due to its proximity to the EICTV (Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión) which was was founded on December 15, 1986, by Colombian journalist and writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Argentinean poet and filmmaker Fernando Birri, and Cuban theoretician and filmmaker Julio Garcia Espinosa, amongst others.
San Antonio de los Baños is known in Cuba as the capital of humour, partly due to hosting the International Humour Biennale since 1979, as well as having the first Humour Museum in Cuba, unique for its kind in South America.
