In life science field, bio-imaging technique is playing important role to clarify scientific phenomena and gaining deeper understanding of particular events. For example, in cell biology, bio-imaging techniques are usually applied to understand cell properties, function, behavior, morphology, and physiology, also to clarify specific proteins expression and localization. This technique could provide critical scientific data both qualitative and quantitatively in life science experiments. In growing research field recently, bio-imaging technique also frequently used for broad range research in applied science field such as engineering and medical application. In particular, confocal laser scanning microscopy become powerful technique in life science research by allowing it to generate information through noninvasive optical section and 3D reconstruction images from observation objects or specimen. Through this technique, the comprehensive data in life science research experiments could possibly be obtained.
Thus, PT Wadya Prima Mulia together with ITB-Olympus Bioimaging Center supported by the Indonesian Biotechnology Consortium conduct a webinar on Bioimaging Applications using the OLYMPUS Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope, for researchers in Indonesia.
