How to Knit Cables Combining Cables with Decreases

Описание: A complex type of knit cable you may find in some patterns is one that incorporates an increase or decrease into the cable stitches. If you know how to work the knit increase or decrease, and you know how to make the cable, then you’ll be able to follow the steps and make the pattern!

LT-DecR (Left Twist, Decrease Right)
Slip 1 to right-hand needle, slip 1 to cable needle, hold in front, slip first stitch back to left-hand needle; knit 2 together, knit 1 from cable needle. 1 stitch decreased.
or: Slip 1 to right-hand needle, twist next 2 stitches on left-hand needle without a cable needle so that order is flipped in a left twist, slip first stitch back to left-hand needle; knit 2 together, knit 1. 1 stitch decreased.

LT-DecL (Left Twist, Decrease Left)
Slip 1 to cable needle, hold in front; knit 1, slip 1 st from cable needle onto left-hand needle, work a slip-slip-knit decrease. 1 stitch decreased.
or: Twist next 2 stitches on left-hand needle without a cable needle so that order is flipped in a left twist; knit 1, work a slip-slip-knit decrease. 1 stitch decreased.
