This was an audio interview with Mark Shipley at St. Ann's Lighthouse, Pembrokeshire in 1993.
At the time St. Ann's was similar to the Holyhead Control Centre that I was then stationed at. By similar, we both monitored and looked after a few Lighthouses that were already automated. The only difference being, St. Ann's was an actual working Lighthouse. We both did husbandry trips out to our Lighthouses approx Monthly. To cover the watches over a weekend at St. Ann's, to enable a couple of their Keepers to do this, one of us from Holyhead was sent down. During my off Duty time there, I recorded this interview.
Mark did a great interview, and as he comes across in this recording was as he is in life. Another Keeper that was a joy to have been around.
