E06 - Day 6: Ride to Devgad, Secret Lagoons & Riding on the Beach | Exploring Coastal Maharashtra

Описание: Day 6 of my solo motorcycle ride around India. Today, I decided to leave the touristy vibes of Goa behind and head north into Maharashtra, aiming to hit the hidden gems of the Konkan coastal road before reaching Mumbai.

In today’s episode, I explored an old fort built by Shivaji Maharaj. While modern renovations have taken away some of its ancient charm, the fort walls hide an incredible secret—a stunning lagoon view that made the detour completely worth it. The route further north surprised me when the road literally disappeared onto a beach, making for some unexpected off-roading by the ocean.

It wasn't all scenic views, however. I encountered a sobering accident scene on the highway that served as a grim reminder of the realities of road travel here.

Finally, as night fell, I ended up on a major rant about my bike's lighting. I break down exactly why the stock headlight is dangerously useless and show you the difference my new auxiliary light setup makes (and how much it cost).
