I am frequently asked for product ideas from my patients. In this video I want to give healthy food gift ideas for the holidays. Many cultures show love with food, however, I ask that you think before giving foods that are not beneficial or can exacerbate the medical conditions of your loved ones. Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, hypertension are very common – limiting added sugars, saturated fat and sodium are imperative for proper management. We eat to get nutrients from our food so the foods we choose to eat should be providing them for optimal health.
