To today we're going to show you how we mount these hooks on our pine cones for making ornaments. These are really sturdy and you'll be able to make all kinds of ornaments and crafts that will last for a long time. These little hooks will not fall off and never fail you. You are going to a need regular pine cone, a little pair of needle nose pliers, or you are going to need a drill with a 5/64th inch bit and some 1 inch eye screws also known as hooks. These hooks are great and they have just about a million uses. OK so to get started the 1st thing I do is clear a little space in the middle here just so I have a little bit of room to work. Now if you look in there you can see the little nub that sticks out from the stem. That’s were I want to put my screw so what I like to do is bust that little knob right off of their and that leaves me a nice little place for me to aim my drill. I want to get my eye hook perfectly in that little nub so I get my drill bit and line it up and set it right on there and try to get my drill nice and centered and a slowly drill it in there and make a nice little pilot hole just like that. You can see I hit the nub right in the center and now to install our we will just insert it into a the hole and twist. There is not a whole lot of room so this again is where I like to use my little pliers and I will just screw this guy in. If you want you can add in a little drop of glue in the hole there if you're really worried about it but honestly I have never had one of these loosen up and fall out so I never put any glue in there but I have thought about it. Once you screw it in there and you have it installed nice and tight you are all don. If you need a little bit of room you can always just take out a few more little pine cone petals. Now you'll be able to do all kinds of stuff with these pine cones, you can make Christmas ornaments or you can just put little bits of string or ribbon threw the hook. It makes a real good sturdy way to fasten your pine cones for whatever craft you will be doing. Happy Crafting!
