So...I'm not sure what this actually is, or let's say I'm not overly happy with how it turned out, but I only had 3 days to make it and wanted it to be done in time (for once!) for my dearest friend's birthday. She adores Merlin and Arthur, and I had been thinking about this idea for a little while. I saw some magic reveal videos, but they usually play around with Merlin's scene with Gilli in 3x11; here I wanted to try something different, and in so doing had the perfect excuse to give more deserved spotlight to one of my favourite bits of magic in the entire series. (Yes, I still love 1x04 very much!)

FLASHBACK:
Merlin: Arthur...it's too dark.
Morgana: How'd you manage it?
Arthur: I'm not sure. All I do know is that I had help. Someone knew that I was in trouble, and sent a light to guide the way. I'm only here because of them.

Merlin: Arthur?
Arthur: It's not true. Always you...
Merlin: I'm not entirely useless, you know.
Arthur: Sometimes I think I know you, Merlin. But it seems not.
Merlin: I'm still the same...and I'm gonna be at your side, like I always am. Protecting you.
Arthur: Thank you, old friend.
