The Durst A300 is an autofocus 35mm enlarger made in Italy between 1972 and 1979. It was apparently Dursts response to the Leitz Focomat autofocus enlarger. Autofocus is a misnomer, as the enlargers use a steel band to determine how far the head is from the baseboard, and adjust the lens board to provide accurate focus for that lens to baseboard distance.
I just received the enlarger and while it made the trip from Canada to California seemingly without damage, the head makes a bad screeching when the head is raised. I hope this is being caused by a dry bearing - If you have ever taken apart an A300, or just opened one up, please let me know in the comments if I can take the back panel off without the enlarger shooting parts all over my shop!
