✝️ Why Is Jesus Called “Everlasting Father”?
Isaiah 9:6 calls the Messiah “Everlasting Father,” which means:
“Father of Eternity” — the source and giver of eternal life.
It does not mean Jesus is God the Father, but that:
✔ He creates life
✔ He sustains life
✔ He gives eternal life
As Scripture says:
• John 1:3–4 — life comes through Him
• John 11:25 — “I am the resurrection and the life”
• John 5:26 — the Son has life in Himself
• Colossians 1:16–17 — all things were created through Him
So Jesus is the giver of eternal life, fully consistent with the Trinity:
One God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
