Carlton, England | A film about Carlton in Nottinghamshire | My Voice! My Place!

Описание: This short film captures places, spaces and voices that make up Carlton, Nottinghamshire. Contributors range from Jigsaw Homes residents to local business owners. Carefully collaged together by filmmaker Owen Davies, it is a tribute to the people and places that make Carlton special.

The film was commissioned by City Arts (Nottingham) as part of their 'My Voice! My Place!' project. The project set out to record, and maybe change, people’s perceptions of the area they live in. The decision to create a film was made by a panel of local people, including Jigsaw Homes residents.

The project was funded and supported by the Jigsaw Foundation and Gedling Borough Council through the Levelling Up fund.

Director - Owen Davies

Owen is an award winning filmmaker and editor. He has cut critically acclaimed documentary features and series for cinema, Netflix, Disney+ & Amazon Prime. Owen has also edited, directed and produced short films, documentaries and promos for Sky Arts, BBC, Creative England and the BFI. His work has been screened at film festivals around the world.

Director of Photography - Karl Poyzer

Karl is a multi-disciplinary filmmaker with over a decade of experience in the industry. While he has spent much of that time as a director of photography, he also branches out into the world of music and animation. In 2020 Karl founded Dice Factory, a boutique production company focusing on VFX and animated content.
