Описание: To the north side of Little Rock Creek Lake from the trailhead is 5 miles with about a 2,300-foot ascent (a 10-mile hike altogether). It is 1.2 miles to the Selway, 2.5 miles to lower falls (150 yards off trail) and 4.7 miles to upper falls (100 yards off trial). The elevation at Little Rock Creek Lake is 6,560 feet. The trail is uneven from start to finish with many bogs and streams to navigate. Today we started hitting snow two miles from the trailhead. This is a moderately hard hike in the summer months requiring about 2.5 hours to get to the lake. Today, it took us 3.5 hours to get to the lake because of the blowdown, excessive water in the trail, and deep snow to transverse the last 1.5 miles. The snow was getting soft on the way back and we broke through to the crouch several times. The ticks were out despite the snow! Gorgeous views of both falls, the lake, and El Capitan.
