To All the Ghouls I've Loved Before is episode 1 of the 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo and originally aired on September 7, 1985.
In this episode, we learn how Shaggy and Scooby are tricked into opening the Chest of Demons and releasing the thirteen ghosts of Scooby-Doo.
Directed by Ray Patterson, and written by Tom Ruegger, we are introduced to Vincent Van Ghoul (voiced by Vincent Price) as well as Flim-Flam, a clever street child who seems to be based off of Short Round from the Temple of Doom.
On top of this, we have Scrappy, Shaggy and Daphne returning. Finally, we also get Bogel and Weerd, who are two bumbling and incompetent ghosts that will appear in every episode.
I love the concept of this series as it features the gang trying to capture a new ghost every week. This made for some fun and spooky television! Granted, I\'d rather it have Freddy and Velma in it vs Scrappy and Flim-Flam, but at the time of its release, it was a great improvement over the 7-minute Scrappy shorts they were showing.
