Emerald Wilds | Beneath the Viaduct (Ep.24)

Описание: Today in the Emerald Wilds, we continue expanding Randlestown Reptiles with one of the most ambitious builds in the area so far.

We begin the episode by naming our newest cold-blooded residents, before turning our attention to the construction of the Randlestown viaduct, a stone structure inspired by local engineering and reimagined as the centrepiece of this habitat.

Built beneath the arches, we add underwater viewing galleries on both sides, allowing guests to observe life below the surface as the waterways flow through the structure.

With the viaduct complete, we welcome two new residents to the zoo:

Spectacled caiman

Cuvier’s dwarf caiman

Their enclosures are carefully designed to resemble tropical waterways, with dense planting, shaded banks, and flowing water that reflects the different environments each species would naturally inhabit.

Randlestown Reptiles continues to take shape, blending engineering, storytelling, and conservation-focused design as we move closer to completing one of the final major areas of the Emerald Wilds.
