Описание: Techno kicks are different than tech house, trance, or dubstep kicks because they need that signature attack without destroying the low end. So making kicks like Maddix, Charlotte de Witte, and Hardwell isn't easy. And after 9 years of struggling, I finally cracked it.

For years I struggled like everyone else, distorting entire kicks and wondering why they sounded terrible. I kept trying different distortion settings but heavy distortion kills the fundamentals.

Here's the truth: most producers are destroying their techno kicks by distorting the wrong frequencies. Regular distortion kills your clean low end while trying to create that rough attack. But with the multiband distortion method you can finally create that signature techno character every single time.

In this video, I walk you through my exact process for making a techno kick at 145 BPM. I show every setting, every pitch envelope point, and the multiband distortion technique with Saturn 2.

Most producers distort the whole kick, while I'm surgically targeting only the frequencies that need that "bad but good" treatment with zero guesswork, achieving a perfect techno kick every time.
