Somewhere within these nights lies Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree, a night that Allah describes as better than a thousand months. One sincere moment of worship on this night can outweigh an entire lifetime.
Yet the night does not announce itself.
The sky does not change. The world does not pause. Life continues as usual. But the unseen carries a weight that the heart can feel.
This Ramadan Day 21 reflection explores the quiet awareness that settles in during the last ten nights. It is not urgency or panic, but a gentle realization that these nights are not ordinary.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us a simple duʿā’ for this sacred time:
“O Allah, You are Pardoning, You love to pardon, so pardon me.”
As we search for Laylatul Qadr, we return again and again to Allah, hoping that one sincere moment may outweigh the years behind us.
If this is the night, may we not miss it.
If it is not, may we return again tomorrow.
Because sometimes the mercy is found in the search itself.
