This one is a tough song for me to sing.I wrote it years ago — before I became a dad 👨👧.
It’s about how a father gives instructions but fails to walk the talk.The second verse tells of a daughter who’s getting feedback about her diet from her parents, yet receives no real connection or empathy 💔.
Two weeks ago, I stood in the kitchen talking with my little girl, criticizing her choices about food and lifestyle... and it broke my heart.It took me two days to realize — what the hell is happening?When will a generation finally stand up and break the cycle?I guess I didn’t.
We are beautiful 🌿Paradise is built into our DNA ✨I truly believe that.But there’s a force that feels very strong these days — the complete opposite of that goodness.
Maybe Thich Nhat Hanh was right:It’s not wise to look only for happiness.Real joy, real peace grows out of mud 🌱
