Framing starts at the Pretty Good Garage Project Part 6. In this episode, we square up and snap lines for the plate. We use the LA 180 from @STABILAOfficial to confirm the square. After the lines are snapped, I cover how to layout and drill the plate. We'll cut, drill, and test fit the plates. I'll also go over air sealing details using Lexel from @Sashco. We apply a bead of sealant (Lexel) to the concrete, then the sill gasket just inside the line so it's visible when setting the plate. With the sill gasket embedded in the Lexel, I apply a second bead, and then we set our plates and tighten them down on the line.
