The former Boston & Maine Railroad's Hillsboro Branch was once part of a network of rural branches traversing the raw and isolated beauty of southwestern New Hampshire. Today, a majority of the line is still in place and in service, a time capsule to an earlier time in American railroading. Take a ride with us on "the Hillbilly Branch" from Wilton to Bennington, into the heart of "Mogul Country". Narration read from R.M. Neal's famous 1950 book of personal experiences on the Boston & Maine, "High Green & the Bark Peelers" brings us back to the day when he rode the same tracks.
