🌠 North East Link powering ahead in the north!
The Spark North East Link D&C team continues to make outstanding progress, with 3.5km of tunnels now excavated. Since tunnelling began, the TBMs have installed nearly 31,000 concrete segments as they advance toward Bulleen.
At the Lower Plenty Road Box, crews are now removing the concrete rings that supported the TBMs during their relaunch. These temporary structures were essential for aligning the machines and stabilising the tunnels as excavation recommenced.
Excavation of the on and off ramps at Lower Plenty Road is also well under way, with crews aiming to complete this phase in the coming months.

Webuild, as part of the Spark Joint Venture, is delivering the North East Link. The project will enable a more sustainable future by taking 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reducing travel times by up to 35 minutes for commuters. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria.
