The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially confirmed that the upcoming T20 World Cup will be held as per schedule, with all Bangladesh matches taking place in India.
The decision was made after a high-level ICC board meeting on January 21, where Bangladesh Cricket Board’s request to shift matches to Sri Lanka was discussed.
According to ICC, extensive security assessments concluded that there is no threat to Bangladeshi players, officials, media, or fans in India. ICC also stated that changing venues at such a late stage could damage the credibility and neutrality of future ICC events.
