But before getting into the specifications of the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A, let's get done with the prices of these devices.

The Redmi 8 has a 6.22- inches display with HD+ resolution whereas the Redmi 8A and the Redmi 8 as well. The display quality is fine. It has fairly good colors and average visibility in outdoors situations.

Both the phones have the same Sony IMX363 sensor but, even though this is the same sensor that we saw in Pixel devices, the quality is not comparable. The pictures come out good in c=good lighting conditions. The portrait mode on these devices is a hit or a miss. The selfies also share the same story, they are good in good lighting conditions and below average in dark conditions. But since these are budget phones, we cannot expect much from them either.

The performance in the Redmi 8A and the Redmi 8 is backed by the same chipset, the Snapdragon 439. So, the performance is what we can expect from them. The opening of heavy apps takes some time. But daily performance has not been a problem with my usage. Multitasking of 3-4 apps in the background id achievable.

Both the phones come with MIUI 11 which is a good thing to have. With the MIUI, the interface looks a bit modified and for the good.

Both these phones have a huge 5,000 mAh battery inside of them which with the HD display provides very good backup for an average user especially. Both these phones support 18-watt fast charging, so if you want the charging to be faster, you can get yourself a fast charger. You will have to cash in extra for that though!
