A trip to Monte Brasil, a inactive (for now) volcano, near the city of Angra do Heroísmo, in Terceira Island, the Azores Islands, Portugal. You can see the Fortaleza (stronghold) de São João Batista, the caldera from Monte Brasil and the city on the peninsula isthmus that was made by this volcano about 25 000 years ago.
The footage is not the best. First, because I was always trying not to film people's faces. Second, I couldn't see what the GoPro was filming and, sometimes, the image is to high. Sorry!
It was, as is almost always in Azores, a cloudy day. GoPro Hero 8 fixed on the helmet chin.
Note 1: When I'm pointing on the sky is to indicate the Serra de Santa Bárbara, the most highest and important volcano from Terceira Island. We cannot see its top, because the clouds are low, but I will make a trip there on a better day.
Note 2: Whem I'm pointing to the city is to indicate the place where this trip started - the car park of Angra do Heroísmo Hospital, from where you can see the Monte Brasil behind Angra do Heroísmo.
Note 3: At the end of this footage, you can see (it's a little difficult to see) the São Jorge Island in the horizon. In not cloudy days you can see also Pico Island and its big volcano. Maybe next time...
