Welcome to the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Education for a Better Recovery Program, 'Your Lung Operation.'
The lung surgery program reviews the entire surgical experience with emphasis on how patients can best prepare and actively participate in their care and recovery. The easy-to-follow program covers lung anatomy, understanding your operation, preoperative tests, home preparation, recovery and discharge, and when to call your doctor.

The standardized interactive program has been developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) with input from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), and the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons (AATS).
