ABOUT THE BOOK

"Otherbound" by Corinne Duyvis is a YA contemporary and fantasy book with a romance subplot.

Nolan lives a fairly normal teenage life in Arizona... except for the blackouts that everyone thinks is caused by epilepsy. When he closes his eyes, he sees a different world through the perspective of Amara, a servant who lives to keep an exiled princess safe. For years, Nolan has only been able to watch without letting Amara know about his presence. When they begin to work together, they start to finally take control of their own lives.

Representation notes: The entire cast includes diverse representation in race and disability. Among the main characters, Nolan and Cilla (the princess) are POC. Nolan and Amara are disabled. Amara and Cilla are queer.
