Pat's Western Bit

Описание: Well, here it is at last! After months of testing, miles of riding, and many sleepless nights, we’ve decided to go public with Pat’s Western Bit. After seeing people struggle to find a regular everyday western bit to continue their horsemanship journey, Pat decided to go to work designing a bit that combines all of the positive elements of the western bits of the past plus a few innovations of his own. This bit is a loose jawed, high port bit with a curved cheekpiece. The cheekpieces are made out of hand finished steel with an alloy concho. The mouthpiece is made of 1/2” cold rolled steel and a brass cricket just like the one in our Missing Link Snaffle. This will make the transition from the Missing Link Snaffle to Pat’s Western Bit seamless and easy for your horse to understand. This bit has stainless steel slobber chains which are attached to the bit with lightweight S-hooks which will break if the chains get caught on something. The bridle ring is made large enough to accommodate the headstall and the curb strap easily. The rein ring swivels and is large enough to use split reins or rein chains, whichever you prefer. In addition, this bit has the weight that we like which helps the horse understand how to balance it similar to a ballerina balancing a book on her head!
