Centennial Corridor Update Part 25 4th of July Weekend Bakersfield California

Описание: Welcome to another update video of the Centennial Corridor construction project in Bakersfield California. This is part 25 in our series documenting this historic transformation in our city and this video was taken on Sunday July 3, 2022.

This morning was clear and sunny and there is a lot more progress to see, so let’s have a look around.

If you haven’t already, go back in the playlist and checkout some of the earlier videos so you can see how much progress has been made over the last 3 and a half years. It’s really amazing to observe this history in the making and to see how far this project has come.

Here we are facing south toward Ming Avenue overpass along the west side of Highway 99 where the new exit lanes are nearing completion.

Traffic is flowing smoothly this morning as we are scanning over the Belle Terrace overpass here.

And now looking back toward the north at the interchange where the new Centennial Corridor will connect with Highway 58 and 99

I had to make a location change so now we are facing up toward east where we see Highway 58 coming into the loop connecting to the 99 southbound through the tunnel. That raised lane being constructed is what will bring traffic from the northbound 99 onto the Centennial Corridor.

Coming back we see the overpasses here at Real Road, and asphalt is now on the ground allowing these new driving lanes to come to life.

And here we are looking toward the north and can see the progress on the Stockdale Highway overpass.

Looking ahead we see the Corridor goes OVER Ford Ave then underneath the La Mirada and Marella Way overpasses.

One more location change and we are now looking back southbound at La Mirada as we scan back getting a good look at the new Marella Way overpass.

Now facing back northbound where we’ll go over California avenue as we approach Truxtun Ave where the Centennial Corridor will connect to the Westside Parkway.

It’s all coming together folks…..it is all coming together.
