There was no way I was going to miss this race as it was for such a brilliant cause. It's not ideal to enter a 10km race the day after running parkrun and an ultra, but sometimes my love for running overrides my common-sense!
The work that St. Theresa's Athletics Club, Crossgates Harriers, and other volunteers, have put into getting the track looking this good for the race was so heart-warming to see. The race route itself was awesome, and it was great to run on paths around Temple Newsam that I've never run on before. The support on course was amazing, there was such a great camaraderie while running, and the goody bag was brilliant too!
I believe this race is now going to be held annually which is a real plus for the running community in Leeds. A welcome addition to the race calendar!
