With very limited resources and an incredible song in mind, I tried my best to emulate Mario 64’s sound-font using only a MIDI file and a MIDI file player which happened to let me tinker with each of the instruments sound. This song honestly has a special place in my heart, especially these days when going through dialysis treatments, keeping a strict diet, and trying not to lose my mind staying home, receiving no income at all. It makes me hopeful for better days to come. With this so called rendition of mine, it makes me feel comfortable and relaxed, somewhat happy with a childlike smile. Much like in those early 2000’s playing Mario 64 with my cousins. Happy times. The song somewhat brings me back to those times. As poor as the attempt may be now, I hope one day I’ll be back on my feet laughing again and I’ll definitely give this song another go! 🥰
