🗓️ On July 16, 2015, the hit segment "Kalyeserye" was first aired to the masses and introduced the phenomenal love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, known as AlDub, which quickly became a nationwide cultural phenomenon. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the iconic segment from the Philippines' longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga, and their love team, let’s take a nostalgic journey through the theme songs that not only defined their iconic love team but also left a lasting impact on Philippine pop culture.
In Kalyeserye, Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards portrayed lovers who appeared in separate segments, shown simultaneously through a split screen. The songs present here were mostly used to communicate with each other through lip-synching, inspired by Dubsmash, a popular lip-synching app at the time. Other songs here were also part of the soundtrack of their film "Imagine You and Me."
