13 PEAKS IN A DAY | Glass House Mountians

Описание: My friend Stuart and I embarked on an incredible challenge, conquering 13 peaks of the Glass House Mountains in a single day! The prior year, we had successfully scaled 12 of them, but this time, with Mount Beerwah reopened, we eagerly embraced the challenge of tackling all 13. A lot of planning went into this challenge, including a detailed spreadsheet to work out a time to start each mountain, ensuring we could complete the final ascent before sunset. Setting off on our hiking adventure at the early hour of 2am, we were greeted by perfect weather conditions all day and the fortunate absence of any park closures. Although this challenge was extremely tough, it became a day etched in our memories, one that Stu and I will never forget!

For this 13 peak challenge, we dedicated our efforts to two noble causes. The first being Starlight Children’s Foundation who helped my youngest sister Tori after she battle and beat cancer a few years ago. The other being Hear and Say which is an organization that provided invaluable support to Stu’s son Archie, who has profound hearing loss. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported and generously donated to both of these remarkable causes!
