The music fades. The dancers sleep. But something remains.
This is the follow-up to Festival Day. The otter wakes in the village square as morning arrives. The ribbons hang still, the fires have become embers, and the strangers from last night have become something more.
I thought that I was passing through,
a stranger on the way.
But something in that village
asked me if I'd stay.
I wrote this song for the quiet moments after joy. For the mornings when you realise something has changed in you. For the places that feel like home before you know why.
The road calls eventually. It always does. But some places stay with you long after you leave.
