Tim Martin cited James' excellent article at length in a recent video titled "Light of Light: A Conversation on Fulfilled Sacramentalism as Theological Worldview." Here is a link to that original video:

The video led James to respond to Tim's e-mail notification in a round about way. And then we agreed to do a full interview conversation on Quaker Theology and Covenant Eschatology, compared and contrasted.
This is a very unique discussion that covers a LOT of ground.
Some relevant backstory might help in these citations below:
Westminster Larger Catechism:
Q. 176. Wherein do the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper agree?
A. The Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper agree, in that the author of both is God; the spiritual part of both is Christ and his benefits; both are seals of the same covenant, are to be dispensed by ministers of the gospel and by none other; and to be continued in the Church of Christ until his second coming.
D.Elton Trueblood from FOUNDATIONS FOR RECONSTRUCTION (1946) in chapter 9 titled "The Requirement of Veracity," p. 96.
"Of course, we must criticize. All men, including ourselves, do terrible evil and the truth must be told. The danger is that we shall adopt an easier standard for our own conduct than we adopt for the conduct of others. The solution of the problem lies, not in abstention from all criticism, but in the achievement of genuine objectivity, which is what the golden rule requires. Our aim must be to deal with ANY human action, be it ours or another's, with that kind of impartiality which plays no favorites either in praise or blame. It means to have ONE CONTEXT, which includes both ourselves and our neighbors. The problem would be solved if we could combine human tenderness with the objectivity of judgment which the higher levels of scientific discovery so often illustrate. The central moral paradox is that the ethical endeavor, which aims solely at the welfare of persons, is best achieved when we refuse to be respecters of persons. THE ULTIMATE CLAIMS OF PERSONALITY ARE ADVANCED BY A RIGOROUS IMPERSONALITY."
