Meet Our Panel:
Frank Dain
A MAC nominee for Male Vocalist, Frank Dain has performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, The Town Hall, Café Pierre, The Waldorf Astoria, Kitano Jazz, Don’t Tell Mama, The Metropolitan Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, The Green Room 42, Chelsea Table + Stage, and Pangea. He made his New York Cabaret Convention debut on October 21, 2025, at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater. His acclaimed albums I Thought About You and I’ve Had a Love have received national airplay and critical praise. Frank is also the editor of Cabaret Scenes magazine and a respected graphic designer for posters, postcards, and CDs. www.frankdain.com
Lorna Dallas
Lorna Dallas’ illustrious career began at 17 when she won a nationwide talent contest and toured with the Metropolitan Opera National Company before starring in Show Boat in London with Dame Cleo Laine—a production awarded a special Tony. Her stage work includes Hello, Dolly! with Danny La Rue, Kismet, Side by Side by Sondheim, and the European premiere of Closer Than Ever. She has performed worldwide with major orchestras at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and Brisbane Concert Hall. Her recordings, The Girl I Knew and Rainbows (Stage Door Records), have received critical acclaim. Dallas received a Bistro Award for “Consummate Cabaret Artistry” and continues to use her artistry to raise awareness for environmental causes through her “Perils of Our Planet” concert series.
Laurie Krauz
Bronx-born and bred, Laurie Krauz is known for her blues-inflected jazz vocals and electrifying stage presence. A master of improvisation and emotional storytelling, Laurie fuses sensuality and soul in her performances. Named one of the top 525 jazz vocalists of all time by critic Scott Yanow in The Jazz Singers (Backbeat Books, 2008), her performances have captivated audiences across New York’s most iconic jazz and cabaret venues. lauriekrauz.com
Mary Porter
Performer, producer, and philanthropic artist Mary Porter has become a beloved presence in the international cabaret community. She has produced and directed Stars with a Heart benefit concerts in Puerto Vallarta (2023–2026), raising over $100,000 USD for local charities, and Music to Remember in Wilmington, NC, benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. Mary has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and with the North Carolina Symphony. Her early credits include Show Boat and Amahl and the Night Visitors. Sandra Bargman
Actor, singer, and director Sandra Bargman holds a BFA in Drama and Music from Carnegie Mellon University and has been a proud member of AEA, SAG, and AFTRA for over 35 years. Her career has taken her from Broadway and national tours to international venues in Tokyo and beyond. She has starred in regional and stock theaters, cabaret rooms, and cruise line entertainment, sharing stages with stars from film, television, and theater. Based between Harlem and the Catskills, Bargman continues to bridge art, spirituality, and storytelling with signature wit and wisdom.
