I’ll be swapping out smaller bills in my cash envelopes for larger denominations to make my savings easier to manage. This helps keep my cash envelopes from getting too bulky and keeps my budget organized!
I’ll also show you how much money I’m sending back to the bank to keep my savings secure while still staying on track with my budgeting goals. I love this part of the process because it shows how much progress I’ve made with my sinking funds and savings challenges!

I am on a journey to better manage my money better.

At the end of every year I go over my spending for that year. When the pandemic hit and I got a pay cut I started to really go into my spending. After going through all of my expenses I noticed that I spent over $18,000 on things I didn’t even need. Yikes right!! Yes these were things that I just brought for the sake of buying NOT necessities. I was spending way too much on online shopping, Amazon, Target, and eating out. After doing the math I realized that this had to stop. I need to stop spending so much and start saving more for my future. I no longer wanted to live paycheck to paycheck and I don’t want to spend my entire life working without having anything to show for it. I want to better prepare for my future/retirement and my money habits were not helping.
