Mario, Peach, and Luigi see Bowser broken into Lego pieces on the Nintendo Switch. On the Switch screen, they see that Yoshi is in the game and needs help. Mario immediately remembers meeting Rosalina and recalls her saying, "You must wake Bowser to find out where Yoshi is." Our beloved heroes must enter the game and find exactly five green mushrooms. So, can Lego Mario, Lego Peach, and Lego Luigi cure Bowser and find out where Yoshi is? And most importantly, will Yoshi regain his freedom?
