আট বিলিয়ন পাউন্ডের সামরিক চুক্তি সই করলো তুরস্ক ও ব্রিটেন। স্থানীয় সময় সোমবার আঙ্কারায় ব্রিটিশ প্রধানমন্ত্রী কিয়ার স্টারমার ও তুরস্কের প্রেসিডেন্ট রিসেপ তাইপ এরদোয়ান এতে স্বাক্ষর করেন। এরমধ্যে রয়েছে যে, যুক্তরাজ্য থেকে ২০টি ইউরোফাইটার টাইফুন যুদ্ধবিমান কিনছে তুরস্ক। স্বাক্ষর শেষে এরদোয়ান বলেন, এই চুক্তি দুই দেশের কৌশলগত অংশীদারিত্বের নতুন প্রতীক। এই প্রকল্পে ব্রিটেনে প্রায় ২০ হাজার নতুন কর্মসংস্থান তৈরি হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন স্টারমার।

Turkey and Britain have signed an eight-billion-pound military deal. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed it in Ankara on Monday local time. It includes Turkey buying 20 Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets from the UK. After the signing, Erdogan said that the deal is a new symbol of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Starmer said that about 20,000 new jobs will be created in Britain in this project.
