BLACK SWAMP SEA WALL
A centenary birthday that went unnoticed in 2022 was the 100-year service of the Black Swamp Sea Wall.
Apart from a severe breach in 1934, the wall has stood the test of time, providing around 2000 acres of additional grazing land on the shore of Corner Inlet. The 1922 and 1934 combined investment of over 7000 pounds by private enterprise has no doubt been worth the effort and expense.
This is a good opportunity to showcase some photos I took in 2007 while celebrating its 100 years with some descriptive text.
