Today is a crucial day for Maharashtra politics. Vote counting is underway since 10 AM this morning, following the local body elections held on January 15th. Early trends clearly show the BJP and the Mahayuti alliance led by Eknath Shinde in the lead. According to the State Election Commission, votes are being counted for 2,869 seats across 893 wards. The latest figures indicate that the Mahayuti alliance maintains a strong hold in urban areas. The Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections are attracting the most attention. Besides Mumbai, major cities like Pune, Thane, Navi Mumbai, and Pimpri-Chinchwad are also significant indicators of political power.
महाराष्ट्र की राजनीति के लिए आज बेहद अहम दिन है। 15 जनवरी को हुए स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों के बाद आज सुबह 10 बजे से वोटों की गिनती जारी है। अबतक के रुझानों में BJP और एकनाथ शिंदे के नेतृत्व वाला महायुति गठबंधन साफ तौर पर आगे नजर आ रहा है। राज्य चुनाव आयोग के मुताबिक 893 वार्डों की 2,869 सीटों के लिए मतगणना हो रही है। ताजा आंकड़े बता रहे हैं कि शहरी इलाकों में महायुति की पकड़ मजबूत बनी हुई है। सबसे ज्यादा चर्चा मुंबई की BMC को लेकर है। इसके अलावा पुणे, ठाणे, नवी मुंबई और पिंपरी चिंचवड जैसे बड़े शहर भी सियासी ताकत का बड़ा पैमाना बने हुए हैं।
