Kniha 50 Highlights poprvé podrobněji představuje padesát vybraných děl ze sbírky Kunsthalle Praha, která se zaměřuje hlavně na české umění v širším středoevropském kontextu od začátku 20. století až po současnost.

Díla čtenářky a čtenáři detailně poznávají skrze fotografie a krátké komentáře. Na příspěvcích se nepodílelo pouze odbornictvo z kurátorských a kunsthistorických řad. Přispěli také umělci a umělkyně, filozofové nebo třeba divadelní režisér. Mezi autory a autorky patří Damien Hirst, Běla Kolářová, Joseph Beuys, Eva Jiřičná nebo Vladimir 518. Art historian, curator, art critic, and university educator Marie Klimešová dedicated her text in the collection 50 Highlights to the work Monument by Christian Boltanski. This melancholic piece was created by the French artist from everyday objects. You could see it at our first exhibition Kinetismus.

The book 50 Highlights provides a detailed introduction to fifty selected works from the Kunsthalle Praha collection, which focuses primarily on Czech art in a broader Central European context from the early 20th century to the present.

Readers explore the works through photographs and short commentaries. The contributions are not limited to expertise from curatorial and art historical fields; artists, philosophers, and even a theater director have also contributed. Among the authors are Damien Hirst, Běla Kolářová, Joseph Beuys, Eva Jiřičná, and Vladimir 518. Both the Czech and English versions of 50 Highlights can be found in our Design Shop.
