Genius Immersive Experience: Descent

Описание: Leonardo da Vinci was obsessed with water, as he called it – “the driving force of all nature”. We explore the movement of water and its interaction with obstacles interactively in the immersive space. As the wave crashes down, we witness its sheer power, and watch how it interacts with our movement in the room as it flows back on the ground. He was so fascinated with water that of his many inventions was a scuba suit that would enable swimmers to explore the underwater world. Yet another invention of his that would grant humans access to previously unexplored territory.

He studied the flow of liquids - not only water, but also other fluids, such as the flow of blood through the human body. He even made incredibly accurate sketches of the heart and the flow of blood pumped out of it across the body, which were only recently proven. As a tribute to the heart, his sketch also appears on the cube at the beginning of the Ignition chapter in the show.

Leonardo da Vinci had a deep love for nature, from animals to natural landscapes, and was even a vegetarian. He was a true environmentalist of his time. We imagine how he would feel about what we have done to the world since his times. What would he have to say about the destruction and pollution we see on our planet today, the disasters we are witness to every day due to climate change? We explore these thoughts through phrases that appear when interactively revealed on the wall.
